I am excited to share the video of the first public concert where my song Canada, Our Canada was performed on April 28, 2017. Elder College Singers of Delta, BC is the group I belong to and it was part of our Celebrating Canada’s 150th concert series.

Please leave a comment below, I would love some feedback on this new anthem.

Thank you Jean. This song really is a work of art. It is inspiring, beautifully written, and thoughtfully arranged. Just imagine it being performed by the VSO and the Vancouver Chamber Choir. But why stop there, the Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa should have this song integrated into its itinerary in time for July 1st. I will be writing the PMO requesting that they do just that!

We loved the concert and especially the launching of your poem to music
Congratulations … and look forward to hearing all Canadians singing it loud,
proud and freely!! Rich, Radiant Blessings… Raywyn

Hi Jean, I’m so glad I had the opportunity to meet you at the CAA conference. I loved hearing the lyrics to your beautiful Canada song and was so impressed when you sang it for all of us. We are so fortunate to be citizens of this great land, living gloriously and free! The chorus is still playing in my memory. Congratulations.

Hi Sharon, Thank you for your kind words. Canada, Our Canada does seem to have that memorable quality for listeners and I am thrilled about that.
It was a great pleasure to meet you at CanWrite! Making new friends of other writers, poets and presenters is always a highlight for me at CanWrite! Thank you for providing a lovely message to welcome me home from Toronto.
